I’m pretty sure Bonnie Bell is a gateway drug. Got my first one on 4th grade.
I’ve been meaning to write a post about lip balms and lip scrubs for AGES. I hate it when my lips feel dry and I am semi addicted to lip balm. My son says I don’t drink enough water and that’s why my lips get dry. Out of the mouth of babes, he’s right though. So beyond hydrating via water, I also like lip scrubs and have a serious lip balm collection. If you are in the same boat, here are some of my favorites:
Lip Scrubs:
Seriously, whoever invented this lip scrub is a god damn genius as far I am concerned. The fact that it is in a lipstick form makes for perfect lip exfoliation and it’s only $3.00. I got mine at Target, but E.L.F. is everywhere these days.
A pot of this will last you forever, and it works just as well as the ELF lip scrub. The only difference is that the application is slightly messier – as you stick your finger in a pot and apply to your lips with your finger. I’m not a huge fan of fingers in pots, but whatever it works. Hey, it also smells and tastes just like popcorn. Available at Lush for $10.99.
Lip Balms:
This lip balm is the shiz, and totally worth the extra coin. The formula is perfect and gives your lips a really nice moisturized glow without being sticky. Available on smallflower.com and Amazon.
I’ve gone through countless tubes of this no nonsense lip balm over the years. It’s a nice, thick lip balm for when you need a nice thick lip balm – like before going to sleep at night. I’ve also been know to put this on my cheekbones in lieu of glittery highlighter. It gives a nice post work out glow without out actually working out. Works great on cuticles too!
I could go on, but I think that’s enough for now. I will leave you with this inspiring quote from the inspiring Iris Apfel.
Have a great week my pretties!
