Drugstore Winners

Winners

I have a few fabulous inexpensive drugstore winners to share with you all this week so we all can be winners.

Let’s get started:

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara –Telescopic

I have tried many, many mascaras over the years and all but given up on drugstore mascaras because most of them irritated my eyes, flaked, or both (the worst).  I just picked this up for the first time last fall because I left the hosue in a hurry and forgot to put on mascara before I left.  Since that time, Telescopic has quickly become my favorite mascara of all time. It’s cheap, it really pumps up my wimpy lashes, and it doesn’t flake or smear on me midday.  Can I get a witness?  I’m on my 4th tube of this stuff.  I love the small wand because it really allows you to get in and get all of those tiny weeny lashes.   Available at most drugstores (Walgreens, CVS & target) for $7-$8 per pop.  This is the best and you’re welcome.

Wet n Wild Natural Blend Lip Shimmers  –

104 Berry

Wet n Wild – who knew?  Wet n Wild hasn’t been on my radar since I was a teenager, but I will be keeping an eye out for future products because I love this lip shimmer. The color I got was 104 Berry, which is a lovely light pink (not Berry tho, weird).  This lip balm has become one of my go to work staples.  It’s pretty, moisturizing and has a slight menthol tingle that I love.  Tinted lip balms are great for work because they are easy and don’t require a lip liner or even a mirror.  I got this for $2.99 at Walgreens and this week they are even having a sale – buy one and get the 2nd for 50% off.

Wet n Wild Velvet Matte Lip Color by Fergie –

Plumgenue

I liked the lip shimmer so much; I went back to Walgreens and picked up Plumgenue.  Plumgenue falls on the opposite side of the spectrum as the shimmer and is a rich plummy matte lipstick.  I wanted a matte lipstick but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and I love this forgiving color.  Although this formulation is matte it does not dry out your lips.  It’s definitely a lipstick and not a stain as it did not make it through lunch, but for $2.99 I’m ok with reapplying once and awhile.  Available at Walgreens.

Blistex Ultra – Rich Hydration –

BlistexFor those folks who don’t like to wear makeup I recommend the Blistex Ultra – Hydration Balm.   I love this lip balm so much and it is so much better and more moisturizing than the rest of the pack (sorry Chapstick & Carmex).  The name pretty much sums it all up. It’s really the perfect drugstore lip balm and it has a SPF of 15.  What more could one want?  Available for 3.99 at CVS, Walgreens or anywhere else that sells Blistex.

Have any drugstore heroes?  Let me know in the comments below.

I hope you are all having a great week!

Natalie
