The quest for the perfect palette

IMG_0590

I have ongoing quest to find the perfect palette that is going turn everything in my life around.  My favorite kind of palettes are the ones that have everything to get your look together so you don’t have root through your bag for a million products.  And my ideal palette would have blush, bronzer, highlighter, a quad of neutral shadows and something to fill in your brows.

Here are a few palettes worthy of your consideration:

Tarte – Tartlette Amazonian Clay Palette

Tarlette

Soooo pretty.  Look how pretty this palette is.  These eyeshadows  have the most amazing texture and blend so beautifully.  I find all of these colors to be really flattering and normal.  Not too shiny or florescent. I swatched about 20 palettes on the back of my hand before settling on this awesome Palette from Tarte.  These folks know what they are doing when it comes to makeup.  My only issue with this palette is that it a solely eyeshadow palette, but it’s so pretty I can live with it.  Available at Amazon, Sephora & Ulta $45

Pacifica Solar Complete Mineral Palette –

Pacifica

If you like natural brands (and I do) , Pacifica is awesome, and this is my favorite kind of palette with a  little bit of everything in it.  This lives in my travel bag since it is compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room.  The highlighters in this palette are lovely and the eyeshadows blend really, really well.  I got mine at Merz Apothocary here in Chicago but this brand can be found at Amazon and Target.  $38 smackeroos.

NYX Butt “Naked” Palette-

NYX

This is a palette I have had for a year and half now and like any true on again, off again relationship, I keep coming back to it.  NYX’s Butt “Naked” is the workhorse of my morning makeup routine, mainly because it has really great neutral colors and I don’t have to hunt around for what I need.  But, if I am being honest, the bronzer and blushes included are not the best for my coloring as they are little too warm.   Not that has stopped me from using it, I just have to be careful with how much I apply and make sure I blend.  The blush I love the most is the peachy pink on the far left that is a total dupe for NARS orgasm.  For a drugstore product, NYX is very reasonable and very high quality.  There is a lot of bang for your buck with this line.  Available at Ulta & Amazon for $22 dollhairs.
